ASA Committees

Home About us ASA Committees

The Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA) is led by a diverse range of committees dedicated to advancing the field of anaesthesia and ensuring the highest standards of care. From the Professional Issues Advisory Committee to the Overseas Development and Education Committee, these committees play a crucial role in shaping the society’s policies and initiatives.

State-based committees, such as the New South Wales State Committee and the Western Australia State Committee, actively promote the ASA’s vision at a state level. Members can stay engaged with the society’s work by accessing news and current committee information through the member’s website. ASA members can access each Committee information by logging onto this website.

State committees

State Committees play a vital role in actively promoting the vision of the Society, at a State level. They:

  • Support – Promote the needs of the Specialty in both the public and private sector to State Government and other appropriate authorities
  • Represent – Actively address the professional and economic issues that impact on members in public and private practice in urban and regional and remote Australia
  • Educate – Provide a broad range of high-quality educational services, resources and opportunities.

ASA members can access each State Committee by logging onto this website.
