Nominations open: WFSA Board Officer and Council Regional Representative positions

ELECTION OF OFFICERS OF THE BOARD 2026-2028

The World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists  (WFSA) are pleased to announce that nominations for WFSA Board Officer and Council Regional Representative positions for the term 2026-2028 are now open. They will be accepting applications until 31 October 2025.

Nomination process for both WFSA Board and Council (Regional Representative) positions:

Please complete an online application platform via the above WFSA platform. This online application must include:

  • An abbreviated up-to-date CV (no more than three A4 pages)
  • A letter of motivation outlining what you will bring to the Board/Council (max one page)
  • A passport style photograph (electronic jpeg version)
  • A letter of nomination from your Member Society endorsing you for the position you are seeking. 

Nominations for Board and Council Regional Representative positions will close on 31 October 2025.

All eligible applications will be shared online for Member Societies’ attention in November in advance of the 15 April 2026 General Assembly where elections for each position will take place. Further details on the voting process for these positions will be circulated shortly, along with additional details regarding the application of protected seats for Council Regional Representative positions. 

Only those seeking the role of President-Elect will be expected to make a short oral presentation, of no more than five minutes duration, at the first General Assembly in Marrakech on Wednesday 15 April 2026. A second General Assembly is scheduled for the afternoon of Friday 17 April 2026.
