Australian Society of Anaesthetists new membership with National Rural Health Alliance

The Australian Society of Anaesthetists is delighted to announce our new membership with the National Rural Health Alliance (the Alliance).

The National Rural Health Alliance comprises 55 national organisations committed to improving the health and wellbeing of over 7 million people in rural and remote Australia. Their diverse membership includes representation from health professional organisations, health service providers, health educators, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health sector and students.

The Alliance provides a united voice for people and health professionals living and working in rural communities and advocates for sustainable and affordable health services. Their most important role to date is underpinning their broad representative base, listening to the people of rural, regional and remote Australia and taking their views to government.

ASA looks forward to collaborating with the Alliance. It is a pleasure for ASA to be a part of the credible source of expertise and evidence-based information that work closely with politicians, governments, departments and a broad range of stakeholders to build healthy and adaptable rural communities. We look forward to our involvement with the Alliance – it will be both rewarding and enjoyable!
