Established in 1934, the Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA) is the peak, not-for-profit, representative body of anaesthesia in Australia.
With over 3,900 members across Australia, we are a member-funded organisation dedicated to supporting, representing and educating anaesthetists to ensure the safest possible anaesthesia for the community. Each year in Australia, anaesthetists have a crucial involvement in almost four million operations.
The ASA produces three main publications made available to our member base. Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Australian Anaesthetist and the Relative Value Guide. Publications are available in hardcopy, digital online and in-app format.
The ASA offers a tailored approach to digital advertising. We have a number of packages to suit both your business and budget.
Ways to place your brand in front of our members include EDM banner in our monthly or quarterly enews
The ASA National Scientific Congress represents a unique opportunity for sponsors and exhibitors to display and promote products and services to a wide cross section of the anaesthesia community within a high-quality educational environment.
We usually anticipate 1000 plus anaesthetists and pain medicine specialists in attendance over the three days of trade display at the various Convention and Exhibition Centres around Australia and New Zealand.
Sponsorship opportunities for other educationaL events include the annual Part 3 Course, designed to offer non-clinical advice and guidance to trainees commencing their anaesthetic career. The course is convened by the ASA, run by anaesthetists, held annually in different states and run as a one-day face-to-face course. We are always open to ideas and suggestions.
ASA recognises the integral role played by practice managers in assisting anaesthetists to carry out their work to the highest possible standard.
We have relaunched and promoted the benefits an ASA Registered Practice Manager gets from the ASA to support their career. This includes registration for the Practice Managers conference, quarterly enews, a dedicated portal on the ASA website accessed only to Practice managers as well as a wealth of new initiatives.
