Who is eligible to apply?
Associate membership is available to those who fit the following criteria:
(a) Medical practitioners registered to practice in a State or Territory of Australia who have a special interest in anaesthesia; or
(b) Persons of professional standing with an interest in anaesthesia, who are permanent residents of Australia and who are not medical practitioners; or
(c) Medical practitioners registered to practice in a State or Territory of Australia who are currently undertaking a Specialist International Medical Graduate pathway with ANZCA.
Associate members are entitled to most of the benefits of Ordinary membership, although they do not have voting rights at the ASA Annual General Meeting.

Member Rates
- Associate Member (GP Anaesthetist) – $891.00 annually ($74.25 per month)
- Associate – IMG (International Medical Graduate completing specialist pathway) – $534.60 annually ($44.55per month)
*Fees cover the calendar year and include GST. Pro-rata fees are available for those joining later in the year.
