Membership Fees
Fees include GST unless otherwise stated and apply for the calendar year. If you join partway through the year, a pro-rata rate may be available. You can choose to pay annually or by monthly direct debit.
First Year Fellows receive a 50% discount on the Ordinary Membership fee.
Part-time rates are available to members working up to 0.2 FTE, or one day per week.

Medical specialist inquiry: submissions extended to 27 November
The deadline for submissions to the parliamentary inquiry into access to and affordability of medical specialists has been extended to Friday, 27 November 2026. The extension gives ASA members an extra five weeks to share your professional experience directly with the Committee. The inquiry is examining specialist workforce distribution, referral pathways, affordability and out-of-pocket costs, the effects of delayed care, and emerging models of service delivery across Australia.
