The theme of this year’s Congress is ‘An Eye to the Future’. NSC 2019 aims to further our knowledge and skills in the areas of: education, research, leadership, communication, multidisciplinary liaison, perioperative medicine etc.
Professor Guy Ludbrook – Anaesthesia Dept. University of Adelaide and Royal Adelaide Hospital
His expertise covers neuropharmacology, medical devices, anaesthesia, clinical trials, anaesthetic and analgesic drugs, drug delivery and health services. He is published widely in scientific literature with a particular focus on pharmacology.
Dr Robert Barnett – Director of Intensive Care at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Melb.
While the Director of Medical Services for over 10 years, Dr Barnett developed an interest in identifying and managing the deteriorating patient. This led to the development of preoperative screening and postoperative monitoring systems being implemented.

Do you have a creative side and would like to share it with your peers? Once again, the ASA is seeking expressions of interest from our legion of talent, who would like to share their work at the upcoming NSC. Submissions due by Friday 26 July.
