Whilst we constantly evolve and adapt to the current climate, we will be here to support you attending events and our priority is the safety and wellbeing of all ASA Members and we will act on any advice from our governments and keep our you informed of any developments in relation to events we are hosting.
The ASA will adhere to Australian Government guidance on COVID-19. For up-to-date information on the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, please see the Australian Department of Health website.
The ASA aims to deliver events face-to-face in 2022 where possible. However, due to ongoing Government restrictions, we have contingency planning in place and may be required to transform the event into a virtual or hybrid event.
At all times, ASA will be abiding by Government recommendations, including appropriate provisions for social distancing and the use of masks. For these reasons, we strongly recommend booking transferable flights & accommodation in the event ASA needs to enact a contingency plan.
Registration fees. In the event that government travel restrictions prevent your attendance at the ASA event or the event is cancelled or rescheduled due to the presence of those restrictions, you will be refunded the full amount of delegate registration fees paid.
Risk and insurance. Registration does not include insurance of any kind and unless required by law, the ASA will not be liable for any other losses incurred by you as a result of the cancellation or rescheduling of ASA events including any travel and accommodation expenses. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to coming to the ASA events. The policy should include the loss of any accommodation costs, loss of airfares, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. Please speak to your travel agent or airline and carefully consider their refund and cancellation policies when making arrangements for attendance at the ASA event.
